Matching Grant
Program
The Southwest Detroit Business Association partners with property owners and businesses to do commercial renovations. This program provides a matching grant of up to $7,500 per street address plus design services and technical assistance to produce an attractive storefront that complements the business district.
On
average these projects generate $6 of private investment for every dollar
of matching grant provided. Projects
in the past five years have resulted in more than $1.65 million in
improvements.
