Bonding Education Program
With over $5 billion in investments to public infrastructure slated to come to SW Detroit, through the Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT), the SDBA is committed to ensuring our host community contractors have the capacity to competitively compete and secure contractors.
Through our work on transportation policy, the SDBA identified that access to bonding and financing for sufficient cash flow presents a significant challenge to many small businesses. SDBA, MDOT, and the U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) are bringing the Bonding Education Program (BEP) to Michigan.
The BEP is designed to help small businesses. This means planning of initiatives and partnerships, outreach opportunities, best business practices, community plans, as well as community based youth awarness.
The Partnership for Diversity and Opportunity in Transportation holds monthly meetings where representatives from local and statewide recap current programs, initiatives, and results
The MDOT and DBE 2016 conference will be held at the Doubletree in Dearborn from March 20-22. To register for this year's conference, please click here
