Raise The Bar

The Raise The Bar Program started in 2011 as a way to make visible and lasting change in the West Vernor commerical district.  The effort concentrates programming to a designated section on West Vernor resulting in large results.  Specifically, the program combines small business technical assistance, nusaince abatement, the facade improvement program, and marketing.  Staff works directly with businesses in the targeted area to improve their visual appearance on the street, and markets improvements through traditional and social media efforts.
