Two of the city's neighborhoods, Midtown and southwest Detroit, are revitalizing, even in tough times. Each is adding new residents, new businesses and new visitors. Yet it's hard to find two neighborhoods in Detroit more different.
Different demographics. Different economics. Even different languages, in a way, since southwest Detroit's Latino immigrants often use their native tongue.
So here's the dilemma: What can we take away from the success of two neighborhoods so different?
